Türkiye Targets $20 Billion Health Tourism Revenue by 2028

Türkiye aims to generate $20 billion in health tourism revenue by 2028, with a strong focus on becoming a global hub for medical, thermal, and wellness tourism.

Behlül Ünver, the general manager of International Health Services (USHAŞ), emphasized the nation’s high health tourism potential, which includes treatments such as hair transplants, organ transplants, aesthetic surgeries, and dental care.

In 2023, Türkiye earned $3.1 billion from health tourism, attracting 1.65 million visitors.

By 2024, the country has already seen $2.15 billion in revenue.

With global health tourism set to reach $127 billion by 2028, Türkiye aims to capture a significant share of the market.
