Turkiye Ready to Collaborate with Brotherly Country Pakistan on Environmental Protection: Emine Erdoğan

During her official visit to Pakistan, First Lady Emine Erdoğan participated in the Circular Economy program under the Pakistan-Turkiye Partnership for Sustainability, hosted by Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, in Islamabad.

In her speech, Emine Erdoğan emphasized that to tackle the environmental crisis successfully, a comprehensive approach must be adopted.

She stated that the first priority is to implement Circular Economy as soon as possible.

She further added, “If we promote Circular Economy, we can create a less polluted planet.”

In this regard, Emine Erdoğan presented the successful example of the SifirAtik movement, which is an inspiring model in the field of sustainable development and Circular Economy, spreading from the local level to the global stage.

Offering Turkiye’s knowledge and expertise, she said, “Turkiye is ready to cooperate with its friend and brotherly country, Pakistan, in promoting environmentally friendly methods for environmental protection.”

The First Lady expressed hope that the cooperation on environmental issues between the two countries would continue, and both nations would work together on numerous projects that will be beneficial for the world.
