The Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Pakistan, Dr. İrfan Nezıroğlu, met with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
The Prime Minister thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his strong support for Pakistan in light of the current situation in South Asia, as well as for his appeal for peace in the region.
The Prime Minister stated that despite India’s provocative actions following the Pahalgam incident, Pakistan’s response was responsible and balanced. He emphasized that India has failed to provide any evidence and is making baseless efforts to link Pakistan to the incident.
The Turkish Ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s principled stance and expressed solidarity with Pakistan. He also emphasized Türkiye’s call for de-escalation and restraint to ensure peace and stability in the region.
