The Turkish Embassy in Islamabad hosted a magnificent painting competition themed “Turkiye-Pakistan Friendship” to promote friendship and brotherhood between the two countries on the occasion of “National Sovereignty and Children’s Day”.

The event was organized under the patronage of Turkish Ambassador Dr. Irfan Neziroglu, in collaboration with the Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center and the Turkish Embassy’s Education Consul.

The competition received an overwhelming response from children and youth across Pakistan, with over 1500 artwork submissions divided into two groups. In the 7-11 age group, the first prize was awarded to Syed Shahir Talha from Mazen Schools Quaid Campus, who showcased remarkable creative skills despite being in 4th grade.

The second prize went to Hadia Amjad from The City School Islamabad, while the third prize was awarded to Ainyah Haroon from Beaconhouse School System Sheikhupura.

In the 12-16 age group, the first prize was awarded to Zainab Azhar from Pak-Turk Maarif International Schools, while the second prize went to Rumaisa Fatima from Lahore, and the third prize was awarded to Amina Jawad from The City School Attock Campus. Special awards and cash prizes were also given to other participants for their creative efforts.

The organizers and the Turkish Embassy expressed gratitude to all participants, their parents, and teachers, hoping that such educational and cultural activities would further strengthen the bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Turkiye.
