TİKA Builds Pakistan’s First Inclusive Sports Fields for Students with Disabilities in Karachi

In a groundbreaking move to promote inclusivity in sports, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) has constructed Pakistan’s first-ever football and cricket fields specially designed for students with visual and hearing impairments.

Located in Karachi, these purpose-built facilities mark a significant step toward ensuring equal access to physical education and recreational opportunities for differently-abled youth.

The initiative reflects TİKA’s ongoing commitment to social development and strengthening the bonds between Türkiye and Pakistan through impactful, people-centered projects.

By creating an environment where all children, regardless of ability, can engage in sports, TİKA is helping foster not only physical well-being but also confidence and social integration among students with disabilities.

This pioneering project is expected to set a precedent for future inclusive infrastructure in Pakistan and beyond, highlighting the power of thoughtful design in creating a more equitable society.
