On the sidelines of the summit, PM Shehbaz met with key leaders, including Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus of Bangladesh and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
Bilateral meetings with the presidents of Iran, Turkiye, and Egypt are also on the agenda.
The D-8 summit provides a platform for member states to collaborate on key areas such as trade, investment, and economic development.
The theme of this year’s summit is “Investing in Youth and Supporting SMEs: Shaping Tomorrow’s Economy.”
During his address, PM Shehbaz will highlight the importance of investing in youth and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to drive economic growth and development.
He will also participate in a special session on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and Lebanon.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to address the 11th Summit of the Developing Eight (D-8) countries in Cairo, Egypt today.
The summit brings together leaders from member states to promote economic cooperation and development.
