North Korea has sharply criticized the United States, Japan, and France over their recent joint naval exercise, calling it a move to “revive their militaristic invasion ambitions.”
The joint drill, conducted earlier this month near the Philippines, involved American and French aircraft carriers alongside a Japanese warship.
North Korea’s state-run media, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), accused Japan of destabilizing the Asia-Pacific region by threatening the balance of power and creating new conflict dynamics.
KCNA further condemned Japan’s participation, emphasizing that the deployment of a Japanese aircraft carrier outside its self-declared defense-only stance signals Japan’s militaristic ambitions.
North Korea’s strong words reflect heightened tensions in the region as military exercises continue to fuel concerns about potential escalation.
