At the extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Foreign Ministers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar addressed the dire situation in Gaza, calling for the forced displacement of Palestinians to be declared a “red line” by the OIC.
During the meeting, which discussed the ongoing crisis in Gaza, Ishaq Dar stressed the importance of preventing any efforts to forcibly expel Palestinians and urged OIC member states to take collective action to protect Palestine.
He emphasized that Palestine must be safeguarded through a united front.
Dar also highlighted the need to uphold the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque and to ensure that Palestinians receive unrestricted humanitarian aid.
Furthermore, he called for full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the establishment of lasting peace through adherence to its three phases.
