Humanitarian Aid to Gaza Severely Delayed as Less Than 80% of Trucks Reach Strip, UN Reports

The UN reported on June 4, 2025, that less than 80% of aid trucks approved by Israel have actually reached Gaza, worsening the humanitarian crisis. Out of over 1,200 trucks cleared, only about 940 were approved by Israel, and just over 600 made it inside Gaza.

The UN has limited access to monitor the process at border crossings. On Monday, Israel denied 10 out of 13 requests to move humanitarian supplies, including water and fuel.

This shortage is driving increases in child labor, early marriages, and family separations, all caused by hunger and displacement.
