Ankara — Türkiye has achieved another milestone in defense technology as Turkish engineers successfully tested the launch of a ballistic missile from the “122 Supersonic Drone,” surprising the world. Experts described the test as a major advancement in cutting-edge and unprecedented technology, placing Turkish defense projects once again in the global spotlight.
According to details, the missile fired from the drone is an advanced weapon developed by Roketsan, traditionally launched from ground-based systems. For the first time, it was successfully deployed from a drone in flight — a revolutionary capability that significantly strengthens Türkiye’s defense arsenal.
Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of Baykar, said that the “Turkish Drone 122” will not only transform Türkiye’s defense future but also reshape the global defense landscape. He highlighted the achievement as proof of Turkish engineers’ hard work, self-reliance in technology, and commitment to strengthening the defense industry.
