Ankara — Pakistan’s Defence and Martyrs Day was solemnly commemorated at the Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara, paying rich tribute to the courage, supreme sacrifices, and unwavering resolve of the country’s armed forces and martyrs in defending Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The event brought together a distinguished gathering of dignitaries, with H.E. Yaşar Güler, Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Türkiye, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Prominent attendees included Member of Parliament Burhan Kayaturk, Member of Parliament Serap Yazıcı, General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, Chief of Turkish General Staff, General Metin Tokel, Commander of the Turkish Land Forces, General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, Commander of the Turkish Air Force, Chairperson of Büyük Birlik Partisi Mustafa Destici, former Chairperson of the Presidency of Defence Industries Prof. Dr. Ismail Demir, senior Turkish civil and military officials, ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, defence and military attachés, media representatives, and members of the Pakistani community in Türkiye.
