Indian Foreign Minister Threatens Pakistan: “Any Retaliation Will Be Met With a Severe Response”

India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has issued a stern warning to Pakistan, stating that any retaliatory action by Islamabad will be met with an “extremely severe response.”

Jaishankar made these remarks during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who arrived in India earlier today amid rising tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.

Referring to the April 22 Pahalgam attack, Jaishankar said that India responded on May 7 by striking terrorist hideouts across the border. He emphasized that while India does not wish to escalate the situation, any military aggression against it will not go unanswered.
