Qatar Launches Fuel Supply Operation to Gaza Amid Cease-fire

Qatar has initiated the delivery of 12.5 million liters of fuel to Gaza under the terms of a cease-fire agreement that began on January 19, 2025.

The fuel shipments, totaling 25 trucks, crossed into Gaza through the Kerem Shalom crossing, aimed at powering hospitals, displacement shelters, and essential services during the temporary cease-fire.

Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the country’s ongoing support for the Palestinian people, with Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, Qatar’s Minister of State for International Cooperation, emphasizing Qatar’s dedication to alleviating the suffering in Gaza.

This fuel supply is part of a broader humanitarian effort, following the cease-fire deal that includes provisions for a prisoner exchange and long-term calm.

The war in Gaza has left nearly 47,000 Palestinians dead and over 110,700 injured, marking one of the most devastating humanitarian crises in history.
