Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Hosts Abdurrahman Peshawari Photo Exhibition at Istanbul University

A special photography exhibition honoring Abdurrahman Peshawari, a symbol of early Türkiye-Pakistan solidarity, was inaugurated at Istanbul University as part of an academic symposium.

The event was opened by Istanbul Deputy Governor Hasan Gözen and Pakistani Senator Irfan Siddiqui. Distinguished guests included Prof. Dr. Mujeebuddin Sahrai Memon (VC of Sindh Madressatul-Islam University), Prof. Dr. Yousuf Khushk (VC of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur), Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui (Director of Iqbal Academy Pakistan), and Prof. Dr. Gülsüm Ak (Vice Rector of Istanbul University).

Organized with the support of Yunus Emre Enstitüsü, the exhibition showcased rare photographs highlighting the life and contributions of Abdurrahman Peshawari, who volunteered in the Ottoman army and later served as one of the first ambassadors of the Muslim world to Türkiye.
