In a heartwarming display of talent and determination, young residents of Türkiye’s “Sevgi Evleri” (Care Houses) are achieving remarkable success in sports and the arts.
The project, initiated by the Family and Social Services Ministry, provides a nurturing environment for orphans and children in need, focusing on their overall development and well-being.
Over 2,000 children living in these care houses are actively engaged in licensed sports across 14 disciplines, with 46 of them earning the honor of representing Türkiye in national sports teams.
Notably, girls are showing a growing interest in strength-based sports like rugby, wrestling, weightlifting, and boxing.
Beyond sports, the project fosters creativity and cultural engagement, with 2,229 children participating in artistic and cultural activities like painting, music, ballet, drama, and robotics.
Music is a significant focus, with 639 children learning to play various instruments.
The care houses offer a unique and supportive environment, accommodating no more than four children per house and providing activity spaces and play areas to encourage social and personal development.
The children’s achievements extend to national and international arenas, with notable successes in weightlifting, wrestling, and football.
Their accomplishments serve as a testament to the project’s effectiveness in nurturing talent and providing opportunities for growth and development.
