Türkiye Launches Presidency of Cybersecurity to Enhance Digital Defense

Türkiye has officially established the Presidency of Cybersecurity, a move aimed at strengthening the nation’s digital security infrastructure.

The decree, signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, introduces the new public entity as a part of the presidency with a special budget.

The new body, headquartered in Ankara, will oversee national cybersecurity policies, strategies, and education initiatives.

The Presidency will focus on developing domestic cybersecurity technologies, supporting local entrepreneurs, and ensuring the security of public and private sectors against cyber threats.

Additionally, it will coordinate research and development efforts, enhance cybersecurity awareness, and establish crisis management plans.

The new entity will also work on fostering collaboration between the public, private, and academic sectors.

A total of 135 personnel will support the new presidency, which will also include the Directorate General of Cyber Defense and Cyber Resistance, strengthening Türkiye’s digital security framework.
