Islamabad — The Embassy of Türkiye in Pakistan organized a grand celebration of Victory Day at a local hotel in Islamabad, with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI (M), attending as the chief guest.
The event was also attended by Federal Minister Hanif Abbasi, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Khazar Farhadov, diplomats from various countries, senior military and civil officials, media representatives, business leaders, and notable figures from civil society. A cake-cutting ceremony was held to mark the occasion.
In his address, General Sahir Shamshad congratulated the people of Türkiye, its political leadership, and the Turkish Armed Forces on the occasion of Victory Day. He highlighted the longstanding, time-tested brotherly ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, reaffirming the commitment to further strengthening cooperation in all fields. He said the relationship reflects mutual trust, shared values, and a strong partnership.
On his arrival at the event, the CJCSC was warmly received by Mr. Berk Ece, Chargé d’Affaires of the Turkish Embassy in Islamabad.
