Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Nuh Yilmaz met with Khamis al-Khanjar, leader of Iraq’s Sovereignty Party, during his official visit to Baghdad.
According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the two officials discussed bilateral ties and regional developments, as part of Türkiye’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to strengthen cooperation with Iraq.
Al-Khanjar’s Sovereignty Party is a key Sunni bloc in Iraq’s parliament and holds significant influence in national politics.
Yilmaz is expected to continue high-level meetings during his visit.
