The second Türkiye-Azerbaijan-Pakistan Trilateral Summit was held in Lachin on the occasion of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day. The summit was attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan.
President Erdoğan emphasized that the evolving regional developments highlight the importance of unity among the three brotherly nations. He stated, “We are bound by love, respect, and trust, sharing a common cultural heritage and a unified vision. Our combined population is 350 million with an economic capacity of $1.5 trillion.”
President Erdoğan also noted his recent meeting with PM Sharif in Istanbul under the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council framework, stressing mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
Addressing recent Indo-Pak tensions, Erdoğan commended Pakistan’s “patience and wisdom” and expressed hope that the ceasefire would lead to lasting peace. “Türkiye is ready to support this peace process in every possible way,” he added.
On international affairs, President Erdoğan strongly condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza and called for global pressure to ensure an immediate and lasting ceasefire, and uninterrupted humanitarian aid.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his remarks, thanked Türkiye and Azerbaijan for their unwavering support during Pakistan’s recent standoff with India. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace and diplomacy, condemning India’s baseless allegations and its attempts to weaponize water.
PM Sharif also praised Pakistan’s armed forces, especially the leadership of Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir, and reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorism.

President Ilham Aliyev highlighted the cultural and strategic unity of the three countries and announced Azerbaijan’s plan to invest $2 billion in Pakistan as part of strengthening economic ties.
This summit marks another significant step toward enhanced regional cooperation and strategic unity among Türkiye, Pakistan, and Azerbaijan.
