On February 15, 2025, thousands of protesters took to the streets of London, marching to the US Embassy to denounce President Donald Trump’s controversial Gaza plan.
The plan, which involves forcibly displacing Palestinians and taking control of Gaza, has faced widespread condemnation from international bodies and human rights organizations.
Protesters carried signs condemning Trump’s proposal, which they called “immoral,” “illegal,” and “absurd.”
Among the demonstrators was 87-year-old Holocaust survivor Stephen Kapos, who spoke out against the plan, describing it as “completely immoral and illegal.”
Kapos emphasized that while the plan was unlikely to succeed, its very existence caused significant harm by promoting such an idea.
The protest was organized by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign and other groups, following recent news of Hamas releasing three Israeli hostages in exchange for over 360 Palestinians.
The demonstration came amid ongoing reports about the devastating impact of Israel’s military actions in Gaza, which have led to a severe loss of life expectancy for Palestinians in the region.
The protesters voiced their strong opposition to the US-backed Israeli assault and called for justice and recognition of Palestinian rights.
