Switzerland has returned seven historical artifacts to Türkiye, including Bronze Age votive figurines, a Roman-era gold earring, glass vessels, and a medieval oil lamp.
The handover took place at the Turkish Embassy in Bern as part of an agreement between the two countries to combat the illegal trade of cultural property.

Turkish Ambassador Şebnem İncesu praised Switzerland’s cooperation and commitment to preserving cultural heritage. Swiss officials also emphasized the importance of protecting artifacts in their original context.

The items were recovered during a criminal investigation in St. Gallen and confirmed to be of Anatolian origin. They will now be examined and displayed in Turkish museums.
