Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has welcomed the ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian resistance group
Hamas and Israel, expressing hope that the agreement will prove beneficial not only for the Palestinian people but also for the entire region and humanity.
In a statement released on his social media page, President Erdoğan said that Turkiye accepts this ceasefire agreement with joy and hopes it will open doors to peace and stability.
He paid tribute to the brave people of Gaza, who are defending their freedom and land against Israel’s illegal attacks.
Erdoğan further stated that Turkiye has always supported the Palestinian people and stood by them in their struggle, assuring that Turkiye will continue to support the people of Gaza in the future.
He prayed for the ceasefire agreement to become a means of good and remembered the martyrs of Gaza with a prayer for mercy.
