Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Ankara. The two leaders held in-depth discussions on enhancing bilateral relations between Turkiye and Russia.
Before meeting with President Erdogan, Lavrov also held talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
The discussions primarily centered around the ongoing Gaza-Israel conflict, the Russia-Ukraine war, and the situation in Syria.
This meeting is particularly significant, as it coincides with the third anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine war, which began in February 2022.
Both sides expressed their commitment to continuing diplomatic efforts to address regional challenges and strengthen ties in various areas, including security and economic cooperation.
