U.S. President Joe Biden emphasized that it is not logical for Israel to maintain its existence in the long term while ignoring the Palestine issue and the security concerns of Palestinians.
Acknowledging the complexities of the situation, especially in Gaza, Biden stressed that hard work is required to ensure a ceasefire in Gaza.
Biden stated that Israel needs to adopt a broader perspective on the Palestine issue for its own security, as he believes that the notion of Israel sustaining its existence by ignoring the concerns of Palestinians is “impossible.”
The U.S. president referred to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as his “friend” and mentioned that he has repeatedly reminded Netanyahu to seek solutions that take into account the legitimate concerns of the Palestinian people.
Biden emphasized the challenges of avoiding chaos and war in the Middle East, highlighting that while he fully supports Israel, he is also working toward resolving conflicts in the region.
He also mentioned that Iran and Hezbollah are weaker compared to the past, a development he described as a positive step for Israel’s security.
