
In a phone call, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif expressed his deepest sympathies to Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev over the tragic Azal Airlines plane crash that occurred on December 25, 2024.
The Prime Minister assured President Aliyev that Pakistan stands in solidarity with Azerbaijan and is ready to provide any necessary support.
PM Shehbaz praised the resilience of the Azerbaijani people, saying they would overcome this tragedy with strength.
He also conveyed that the entire Pakistani nation shares the sorrow of the Azerbaijani people and is praying for the bereaved families and speedy recovery of the injured.
President Aliyev thanked the Prime Minister for his support, highlighting the strong bonds of friendship between the two nations. He stated that this thoughtful gesture was reflective of the enduring bonds of friendship between the two nations, which had always stood by each other through thick and thin.
The Prime Minister also visited the Azerbaijan Embassy in Islamabad to sign a condolence book and pen his remarks in memory of the victims of the tragic plane crash.
This gesture demonstrates Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its ties with Azerbaijan.
Both leaders reaffirmed their strong commitment and resolve to further strengthen the strong bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
