Pakistan’s Missile Barrage Forces India to the Negotiation Table, Says U.S Journalist

Following the recent escalation of tensions between Pakistan and India, U.S journalist Nick Robertson has revealed critical details about how the ceasefire came to be. He stated that despite days of international diplomatic efforts to broker a ceasefire, the situation worsened after India launched an attack on Pakistan’s airbases.

According to Robertson, after India’s aggression, Pakistan responded with a relentless series of missile strikes, which ultimately forced India to come to the negotiating table. He claimed that the powerful and continuous missile attacks from Pakistan compelled India to retreat.

Robertson further shared that the U.S Secretary of State reached out to officials from Saudi Arabia and Turkiye, and it was through these diplomatic contacts that the ceasefire between Pakistan and India was achieved.

In light of the ceasefire, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, confirmed that the ceasefire began at 4:30 PM. He emphasized that if India were to launch any further aggression, Pakistan would respond decisively.

Ishaq Dar mentioned that, over the past 48 hours, he himself, along with the U.S. Vice President, had been in constant contact with high-ranking officials from both countries.

U.S President Donald Trump also took to his social media platform to announce the progress, congratulating both Pakistan and India for exercising restraint.

It is noteworthy that Pakistan’s armed forces had previously retaliated to India’s aggression with Operation Bunyān Marsūs, targeting more than 10 key military installations in India. According to security sources, Pakistani forces struck airbases and installations in Adampur, Udhampur, Bathinda, Suratgarh, Mamun, Akhnoor, Jammu, Sirsa, Barnala, Uri, and Halwara, among others.
