Pakistan’s junior hockey team has qualified for the semifinals of the Men’s Junior Hockey Asia Cup, defeating Malaysia 4-1 in Oman. Sufiyan Khan’s hat-trick secured Pakistan’s spot in the semifinals, where they will face Japan on Tuesday.
The victory has also guaranteed Pakistan a spot in the 2025 Junior World Cup, to be held in India. Pakistan’s team dominated the match, with Sufiyan scoring in the 3rd, 35th, and 59th minutes. Abdul Qayyum added another goal in the 48th minute to seal the win.
Pakistan will now face Japan in the semifinals on Tuesday at 5:30 pm PST. The final will be played on Wednesday.
