Pakistan Day Celebrated with Grandeur in Ankara, Echoes of ‘Jeevay Jeevay Pakistan’ Fill the Air

Ankara witnessed a vibrant and emotional celebration of Pakistan Day, organized by the Embassy of Pakistan, marking the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye.

Held after the holy month of Ramadan and Eid holidays, the event was graced by high-level Turkish leadership, with Speaker of the Grand National Assembly Numan Kurtulmuş as the chief guest.

He extended warm greetings to the people and government of Pakistan and highlighted the historic, deep-rooted relations between the two nations, calling them a blessing from Allah.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Türkiye, Dr. Yousaf Junaid, warmly welcomed dignitaries and guests, paying tribute to the significance of March 23rd, 1940 when the Lahore Resolution laid the foundation for an independent state for Muslims of the subcontinent. He also praised the visionary contributions of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, and Allama Iqbal.

The ceremony featured a stirring performance by students of the Pakistan Embassy School, who performed national anthems and patriotic songs, including the timeless “Jeevay Jeevay Pakistan,” which resonated deeply with the audience, especially Turkish guests.

The evening concluded with a taste of Pakistan, as guests enjoyed a variety of traditional Pakistani dishes, leaving a lasting impression of hospitality and culture.

The event drew a remarkable turnout, including Turkish ministers, parliamentarians, top military officials, foreign diplomats, media representatives, and members of the Pakistani community.

It stood as a powerful symbol of Pak-Turk friendship and shared values.
