
A memorable cultural event was organized at the Faculty of Urdu Literature at Istanbul University, in collaboration with YPSS (YTB Pak Students Society) and Merhaba International Students & Research Association. The event stood as a symbol of the deep-rooted friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye, especially in the wake of recent Pakistan-India tensions.

The gathering celebrated the enduring ties between Türkiye and Pakistan, highlighting shared culture, friendship, and historical connections.

The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Zakai Kardas (Head of the Urdu Department). Other distinguished guests included Ismail Ramadanoglu, President of Merhaba Association; Professor Dr. Selal Swaidan, Head of the Oriental Studies Research Center; and Professor Dr. Sevtaap Kadioglu, Dean of the Faculty of Literature.

The audience was treated to patriotic songs brimming with love for the homeland, along with soul-stirring renditions of poetry from Urdu literary giants such as Allama Iqbal, Ghalib, Mir, and Faiz. Engaging presentations on the lives and achievements of renowned poets from both Pakistan and Türkiye were also delivered.

The cultural corner showcased glimpses of Pakistani heritage, architecture, and traditions, captivating the attention of all attendees. The event concluded with a delightful serving of biryani, adding a flavorful touch to the spirit of Pak-Turk friendship, making the occasion truly unforgettable.
