Israeli Artillery Strikes Southern Syria After Rockets Fired Toward Occupied Golan Heights

Israeli forces shelled the Yarmouk area in Syria’s Daraa province following reports of two rockets launched toward the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

The rockets landed in open areas with no casualties. Israel responded with artillery targeting southern Syria.

Since Assad’s fall in late 2024, Israel has stepped up air strikes in Syria, escalating tensions.

Syrian authorities condemned the strikes, calling for a halt and peaceful resolution. Meanwhile, Israel intercepted a missile from Yemen amid growing attacks by the Houthi group, who have intensified strikes in support of Palestinians amid the Gaza conflict.
