Israel Entered Syria Using Militia and Hezbollah Presence as Pretext: Syrian Leader Ahmad Al-Sharaa

The head of Syria’s interim government, Ahmad Al-Sharaa, has accused Israel of advancing into Syria under the pretext of the presence of Iranian militias and Hezbollah.

He announced that Syria would welcome the deployment of United Nations forces in the buffer zone with Israel.

Al-Sharaa stated, “Israel’s actions in the region are based on claims of Iranian militias and Hezbollah’s presence. However, following the liberation of Damascus, there is no such presence.

This is merely an excuse for Israel to advance into Syrian territories and the buffer zone.”
