Tehran — Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has made it clear that, under current circumstances, negotiations with the United States would be harmful for Iran. He said that such a move holds no benefit at present and that Iran will not compromise on its sovereignty.
Ayatollah Khamenei stated in his address: “No proud nation will accept negotiations under the shadow of threats.” He further emphasized that Iran will remain steadfast in its policies and principles and will not bow to any pressure.
According to political observers, the Supreme Leader’s remarks reflect the tense nature of U.S.–Iran relations, which have long been strained over issues such as Iran’s nuclear program and its influence in the Middle East.
This statement comes at a time when some international circles had been expecting the revival of talks between Iran and the United States. However, Iran’s leadership has categorically ruled out this possibility in unequivocal terms.
