Indonesia and Türkiye Look to Strengthen Ties, Says President Prabowo

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has voiced a strong commitment to deepening the partnership with Türkiye, during a visit by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Indonesia.

In a joint press conference held in Bogor, Prabowo emphasized the shared goal of enhancing trade and defense cooperation between the two nations.

The leaders also discussed the significance of the year 2050 as a key moment in their diplomatic history, marking 100 years of Indonesia-Türkiye relations.

Prabowo highlighted Türkiye’s early support of Indonesia’s independence as a cornerstone of their strong ties.
