India’s Trade Confederation Demands Ban on Sale of Pakistani Flags, Merchandise on Amazon and Flipkart

The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has called for a ban on the sale of Pakistani flags and related merchandise on major e-commerce platforms, including Amazon and Flipkart. The demand comes amid rising national tensions due to Operation Sindoor, where Indian armed forces are engaged in a military operation against Pakistan.

In a strongly worded letter to Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Pralhad Joshi, CAIT described the online availability of such items as “deeply disturbing” and “unpatriotic.” The traders’ body asserted that it is unacceptable for these platforms to sell merchandise associated with a hostile nation at a time when Indian soldiers are making sacrifices on the battlefield.

“India’s trade confederation demands an immediate ban on the sale of Pakistani flags and merchandise on Amazon and Flipkart,” CAIT stated, urging swift government intervention. The organization highlighted the emotional and symbolic weight of such items, arguing that their presence in the Indian marketplace is an affront to national sentiment and security.

CAIT further called for stricter oversight and regulations on e-commerce portals to prevent the listing of products that could potentially offend patriotic sensibilities or undermine national interests.

As this shows they stands in solidarity with its armed forces and their country, the confederation’s appeal has sparked public support and reignited conversations around ethical responsibility in digital commerce.
