Hamas Thanks Türkiye, South Africa, and Global Allies for Support Amid Conflict

Khalil al-Hayya, a senior Hamas official, has expressed gratitude to Türkiye, South Africa, and other nations for their unwavering support of Palestinians during the escalating crisis in Gaza.

In a press briefing on Wednesday, al-Hayya condemned Israel’s actions, referring to them as “a brutal genocidal war” and comparing them to “Nazi-like crimes.”

He stated that these events will be etched in history as some of the most egregious atrocities of the modern era.

Praising the resilience of the Palestinian people, particularly those in Gaza, al-Hayya said, “We stand proud of our people who continue to resist despite unimaginable hardships.”

He also recognized the “honorable” efforts of countries such as Algeria, Russia, China, Malaysia, and Indonesia, in addition to Türkiye and South Africa, for their contributions to the Palestinian cause.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains dire, with displaced families suffering in the aftermath of intensified Israeli airstrikes. One of the latest strikes targeted a tent camp in Deir Al-Balah, further amplifying calls for international intervention.

Al-Hayya vowed that Palestinians would forever remember their allies while holding accountable those complicit in what he described as “war crimes.”

The global acknowledgment of support highlights the geopolitical significance of the conflict and the urgent need for peace and justice in the region.
