Dr. Mehmet Toyran, Education Advisor of the Turkish Embassy, and Prof. Dr. Halil Toker, Director of Yunus Emre Institute, met with Senator Irfan Siddiqui and extended an invitation for him to participate in the International Abdurrahman Peshawari Symposium to be held in Istanbul.
During the meeting, Dr. Mehmet Toyran and Prof. Dr. Halil Toker briefed Senator Irfan Siddiqui on the details of the symposium and emphasized the importance of attending this significant academic and cultural event. The symposium will feature in-depth discussions on academic, literary, and cultural topics by experts.
Senator Irfan Siddiqui appreciated the efforts of Turkiye’s educational and cultural institutions and expressed his interest in attending the symposium.

He stated that such academic programs not only strengthen cooperation between the two countries but also highlight their shared cultural heritage.
Prof. Dr. Halil Toker, Director of Yunus Emre Institute, mentioned that the symposium would be a vital opportunity to further strengthen the academic and cultural ties between Turkiye and Pakistan.
He also noted that highlighting the achievements of great intellectuals like Abdurrahman Peshawari would serve as an inspiration for the new generation.
During the meeting, future plans to enhance educational and cultural cooperation between the two countries were also discussed.
