Azerbaijani President Urges Peace and Cooperation in South Caucasus

In a New Year’s address to the nation, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of peace, harmony, and cooperation in the South Caucasus region.

He warned that Armenia’s large-scale armament poses a significant threat to regional stability.

Aliyev stressed that Azerbaijan will not remain passive in the face of this threat, highlighting the country’s growing military strength and economic stability.

He urged Armenia to abandon its “dangerous path” and instead pursue a peaceful resolution.

The President’s address came as Azerbaijanis celebrated the New Year and the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis.

Despite canceling concert programs due to a recent plane crash incident, thousands gathered in Baku’s national park to mark the occasion with fireworks and festivities.
