AZERBAIJAN PRESIDENT SLAMS RUSSIA’S INITIAL COVER-UP OF PLANE CRASH

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev condemned Russia’s attempts to conceal the truth about the recent plane crash that resulted in significant loss of life.

The crash occurred when a passenger plane flying from Baku to Grozny was mistakenly targeted by Russia’s defense system near Aktau, Kazakhstan.

President Aliyev expressed disappointment and frustration over Russia’s initial response to the incident, stating that the country’s authorities spent three days trying to hide the truth about the crash.

He praised Russian President Vladimir Putin’s eventual apology, but emphasized that the attempted cover-up worsened the situation.

The incident has sparked a thorough investigation, with international experts working to determine the exact cause of the crash.

The Azerbaijani government has demanded a transparent and impartial investigation, and has called for those responsible to be held accountable.
