ASSAD REGIME COLLAPSES Syrian President Seeks Asylum in Russia

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has fled to Russia and been granted asylum, marking the end of his regime.

Rescue teams and relatives of detainees are currently searching for their loved ones at the notorious Sednaya prison in Damascus. The prison was infamous for human rights abuses under the Assad regime.

Israel has seized territory in Syrian-controlled areas of the Golan Heights and targeted weapons sites in Syria. The Israeli military has also reinforced its air and ground forces in the Golan Heights.

HTS leader Abu Mohammed al-Julani has hailed Assad’s fall as the beginning of a “new history” for the region. Rebels have made significant gains, capturing key towns and cities.

The situation remains fluid, with various factions vying for control. The international community is closely watching developments, with Russia, Iran, and Turkey all having significant interests in the region.
