
Islamabad— Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir has said that the Pakistan–Iran border should serve as a symbol of friendship, brotherhood, and economic development. He stressed that both countries must work together through mutual cooperation to make border security more effective and secure.
He made these remarks during a meeting with the Iranian Army Chief, where discussions covered bilateral relations, regional security, border cooperation, and other matters of mutual interest.
General Asim Munir noted that Pakistan and Iran share centuries-old historical, religious, and cultural ties that need to be further strengthened. He reaffirmed that the armed forces of both nations will jointly take steps to promote peace, stability, and development in the region.
The Iranian Army Chief also emphasized deepening relations with Pakistan and enhancing border cooperation, adding that joint efforts can help tackle terrorism and other shared challenges.
