National Book Foundation Delegation Visits Yunus Emre Institute Islamabad, Discusses Türkiye–Pakistan Essay Competition and Book Translations


Islamabad — Managing Director of the National Book Foundation Dr. Kamran Jahangir and Foundation Secretary Murad Ali Mehmund visited the Yunus Emre Institute in Islamabad.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held with the Institute’s Country Director Dr. Khalil Toqar regarding the organization of a Türkiye–Pakistan friendship essay writing competition. The event will be held under the patronage of the Turkish Embassy in collaboration with the Yunus Emre Institute and the National Book Foundation.
Furthermore, the meeting also explored the plan to translate selected Turkish books into Urdu, enabling Pakistani readers to engage more closely with Turkish literature and intellectual heritage.
