Turkiye’s Hakan Fidan Holds Key Diplomatic Talks with Iran and Uzbekistan at OIC Meeting in Jeddah

At the Extraordinary Session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held crucial diplomatic talks with key counterparts, including Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov.

These discussions primarily focused on the ongoing Palestinian crisis, with OIC members aiming to formulate a unified response to the escalating violence and humanitarian situation in Palestinian territories.

Fidan also engaged in talks with other prominent leaders, such as Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Palestinian Foreign Minister Muhammad Mustafa, and officials from Egypt and Kazakhstan.

The OIC meeting, convened in response to Israel’s military actions in Palestine, highlighted the urgency of collective action to address the crisis and restore peace in the region.

This diplomatic push underscores Turkiye’s role as a central player in Middle Eastern diplomacy, actively working to foster regional cooperation and peace.
