
The second round of counter-terrorism consultations between Pakistan and Türkiye took place in Islamabad on February 10, 2025.
The Pakistani delegation was led by Abdul Hamid, Director-General for Counter-Terrorism at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Turkish delegation was headed by Ambassador Kenan Yılmaz, Director-General for Intelligence and Security at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Both sides conducted a thorough review of global and regional terrorism situations, discussing the threats posed by terrorist groups operating in the region.
They also agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas such as preventing the financing of terrorism, countering the use of the internet for terrorist purposes, and combating extremism.
