Minor Issues Yet to Be Finalized in Israel-Hamas Ceasefire and Hostage Deal, Implementation to Begin Soon

A senior Arab official has revealed that only a few minor issues remain unresolved in the ceasefire and hostage release agreement between Israel and Hamas.

These issues include the final vetting of around 1,000 Palestinian security prisoners, primarily from Gaza, and the specifics of releasing prisoners serving life sentences.

While these details are nearly concluded, the decision on whether some of the prisoners will be sent to a third country is still being worked out.

Despite these minor pending matters, mediators have confirmed that they will not cause any delay in the agreement’s implementation.

The deal is set to commence on Sunday, with the first phase involving the release of three Israeli hostages.

This marks a significant step in ending over 15 months of conflict and progressing towards a ceasefire agreement.
