A group of 264 Rohingya refugees, including women and children, reached Indonesia’s Aceh province after a harrowing journey at sea.
The refugees, fleeing persecution in Myanmar, had been stranded on two boats, one of which sank.
After being rejected by Malaysia, they arrived safely in Aceh. Indonesia, not a U.N. refugee convention signatory, calls for regional cooperation to address the crisis.
