The head of the Pakistan Army’s Public Relations Department, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, said during a press conference in Rawalpindi that “compared to the last five years, the most terrorists were killed this year.
Pakistan Armed Forces foiled several terrorist plans and recovered a large quantity of weapons from terrorists during operations.”
He stated that in 2024, 925 terrorists, including several prominent names, were killed, and 73 high-profile terrorists were killed in operations.
Two suicide bombers were taken into custody, while 14 wanted terrorists surrendered. 383 officers and soldiers were martyred.
DG ISPR said Pakistan made efforts for peace in Afghanistan, but despite Pakistan’s efforts, terrorists from Afghanistan are carrying out terrorism in Pakistan.
The roots of terrorism lead to Afghanistan, and they will not spare any effort to eliminate terrorist networks.
