Afghanistan Welcomes Saudi Arabia’s Decision to Resume Diplomatic Operations

A New Chapter in Bilateral Relations, the Afghan foreign ministry has welcomed Saudi Arabia’s decision to resume diplomatic operations in Kabul.

This move marks a new chapter in bilateral relations between the two countries, which had been strained since the Taliban takeover in 2021.

The decision to resume diplomatic operations is a testament to Saudi Arabia’s commitment to providing humanitarian aid and support to the Afghan people.

Despite withdrawing its diplomats from Kabul in August 2021, Saudi Arabia has continued to provide aid to Afghanistan through its KSRelief organization.

The resumption of diplomatic operations is expected to strengthen relations and cooperation between Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia.

It will also facilitate the provision of services to Afghans residing in Saudi Arabia, who have been facing challenges due to the lack of diplomatic representation.

This development is seen as a positive step towards normalizing relations between the two countries.

It is also expected to pave the way for increased economic and cultural cooperation between Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia.
