Pakistan’s PTI Party Threatens Civil Disobedience Amid Political Tensions

In a recent development, Aleema Khan, sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has issued a stern warning that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party will resort to civil disobedience if their demands are not met by the government.

Aleema conveyed her brother’s message, emphasizing that the Pakistani economy is heavily reliant on remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis, rather than loans from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The PTI party has been at odds with the government since Imran Khan’s ouster as Prime Minister, and tensions continue to escalate. Aleema’s warning has raised concerns about the potential for unrest and instability in the country.

The government has yet to respond to Aleema’s statement, but the threat of civil disobedience has significant implications for Pakistan’s political landscape.
