Türkiye’s defense sector has taken a significant leap forward, thanks to Ankara-based defense firm Roketsan. The company has developed a range of domestically produced missiles and advanced weapons systems, designed to enhance national security and operational effectiveness.
Roketsan’s Tayfun short-range ballistic missile is a standout example, boasting a range of over 280 kilometers (174 miles) and hypersonic speed. Other notable systems include the TRG-300 and TRG-230 guided missiles, which offer precision and speed, and the TRG-122, which provides a cost-effective solution with high accuracy.
The company’s naval systems, such as the Barbaros coastal defense system and the Akya and Orka torpedoes, provide high speed and long range, while its air defense systems, including the Siper long-range air and missile defense system and the Hisar air defense missiles, offer superior firepower and protection.
